Plainfield City Council met on October 25 for a regular council meeting. The meeting took place in person and live. The council meets at 6 p.m. for a business session and at 7 p.m. for a council meeting on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 591 Moon Road. WHAT HAPPENED: The board approved a contract with Bowen Engineering not to exceed $ 7,830,596 for the improvements to the North wastewater treatment plant.
WHAT THIS MEANS: This project includes the installation of energy saving measures and related improvements. The agreement states that this project will result in energy and wastewater savings totaling $ 1.159 million and operating savings totaling $ 7,920,280 over the 20-year period following the project. completion of the project, for a total savings of $ 9,079,280.
WHAT HAPPENED: The council approved a resolution setting a date for the public hearing regarding the annexation of the property: Redbird Group Phase 1.
WHAT THIS MEANS: This property consists of several parcels along South County Road 675 East, Elm Drive, West Main Street and South County Road 600 South, covering an area of ââ153,414 acres. Council will hold this public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on November 22 at the regular council meeting.
WHAT HAPPENED: The council passed six ordinances on first reading that would annex and form part of the city.
WHAT THIS MEANS: These proposed annexations include Medallion Meadows at 2478 Medallion Court and 10047 Medallion Court; Friendswood Phase 2 at 10801 E. CR 700 S .; Avalon North, Lambert Annexation Phase 2 on the north side of Gibbs Road at the intersection with Saratoga Parkway; Vanbibber property at 5311 Gibbs Road; Willman Lake at 7297 Willman Drive; and Charter Oaks at 8954 Claren Drive.
