LWMC runs a Clean & Green campaign on campuses

LAHORE: The community mobilization wing of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has started an awareness campaign in various educational institutions in the city to educate the younger generation about waste disposal.

The campaign was launched on the instructions of the Managing Director (CEO) of the Lahore Waste Management Company, Rafia Haider, who asked the company’s staff to actively stress the importance of cleanliness in the establishments of education.

Following these guidelines, the company conducted a Clean and Green awareness campaign in various educational institutions in which the famous YouTuber Abdullah Mian also participated.

Company officials said awareness was raised about the importance of planting trees while students who did well were named clean campus ambassadors.

The goal of making Clean Campus Ambassadors was to promote the importance of cleanliness among students; The CEO of Lahore Waste Management Company, Rafia Haider, said raising awareness among students was an effort to lead the future generation to make visible changes in society.

“Students are our future and with their participation and awareness, our future will become ideal,” she said and appreciated the efforts of educational institutions to cooperate with the company in this campaign.
