Interstate Waste Services acquires Cipollini Carting and Recycling

Teaneck, NJ – Interstate Waste Services, Inc. (“IWS”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Cipollini Carting and Recycling, Inc. based in Rockaway, NJ. Cipollini Carting and Recycling, Inc. (“Cipollini”), founded in 1989, is a non-hazardous solid waste collection and recycling provider serving residential and commercial customers in northern and central New Jersey.

IWS is the largest vertically integrated private provider of solid waste collection, transfer, recycling and disposal services serving the New York and New Jersey markets. The acquisition of Cipollini will expand IWS’ collection capacity in the western portion of its New Jersey footprint and allow IWS to internalize additional volume into its rail disposal network. By leveraging its waste rail transportation capabilities, IWS reduces vehicle miles traveled and GHG emissions from road transportation.
