Free bulk waste collection by Pikitup throughout the city is available to all residents

Pikitup provides a free bulky waste collection service to residents and discourages illegal dumping of unwanted goods.

Old mattresses, furniture, refrigerators and other bulky objects will be collected. This is partly also to keep recyclables out of landfills to increase their lifespan.

Pikitup said residents who want to get rid of bulk waste are encouraged to contact their nearest Pikitup depots or use the nearest garden dumps. Once a resident registers a call at one of the Pikitup depots, the responsible depot manager will book a call and arrange a free bulk waste service once a month.
