Bonnie Ross, head of 343 Industries studio, quits after running Halo for 15 years

343 Industries founder and studio head Bonnie Ross has announced her departure from the studio as she focuses on a family medical issue. Ross worked in video game at Microsoft for over 28 years and led 343 Industries for 15 years.

Studio veteran and head of production Pierre Hintze is now the new head of studio at 343 Industries and will lead development on Infinite Halo, The Master Chief Collection, and future games, according to Windows Central. Bryan Koski will be the general manager of Franchise and Van Wyck will now oversee business and operations.

“While I was hoping to stay with Halo until we release the winter update, i am letting you know i will be leaving 343 and attending to a family medical issue,” Ross said.

“I am incredibly proud of the work that everyone at 343 Industries has done Infinite Halothe Master Chief collectionthe Halo TV series, and more. It has been an honor to serve alongside the team for the past 15 years and to be part of a universe in which I live.

“Thank you to everyone in the Halo community for your support. The future of Halo is bright. I can’t wait for you all to experience what we have in store – and cheer alongside you, in as a fan, at the Halo World Championship in October.”
